Are you curious about invasive plants and how to manage them? Join us for the April Invasive Plants Walk at the Garden on Thursday, April 2nd at 10 am This 1hr+  walk is a collaboration between the Garden and Blue Ridge PRISM, a local organization that addresses invasive species in the region. During the walk, experts will guide you through the landscape, pointing out harmful invasive plants.

Invasive species can harm local ecosystems. They outcompete native plants and disrupt biodiversity. Our experts will explain how these plants impact the environment and share tips on how to manage them. Whether you are an experienced gardener or just getting started, the walk will provide useful insights.

This event has limited spaces. Don’t miss this chance to learn more about local invasive plants.

About Blue Ridge PRISM:

Blue Ridge Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (PRISM) is Virginia’s first Cooperative Weed Management Area.

Founded in 2014 as a volunteer-driven project of the Shenandoah National Park Trust, PRISM became a stand-alone nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity in 2020. Since then, we have grown to become the statewide leader in invasive plant education, training, and advocacy. We are small but mighty, with an expert staff dedicated to helping you reverse the spread of invasive plants on the land you steward.
