Field Trip Guide Training

Field Trip Guide Training
The Garden is excited to offer field trips and educational events that connect visitors with nature and inspire joy. We’re looking for passionate individuals to help guide these programs and create memorable experiences for everyone. If you’re interested in volunteering, join Program Director Bruce Gatling-Austin for a training session to become a Field Trip Guide.
Training sessions usually last about an hour, depending on the group size. You’ll receive the knowledge and skills to assist with engaging, educational tours and programs in the Garden. Whether you’re new to volunteering or have experience, this session will prepare you to make each field trip a fun and informative experience. You’ll learn how to share interesting facts about our plants and ecosystems while engaging groups of all ages.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to our mission and inspire others to explore nature. As a Field Trip Guide, you’ll help visitors connect with the environment, and your passion will make a lasting impact on their experience.
To sign up for the training session or ask any questions, reach out to Whitney at wzhang@piedmontgarden.org. We’re eager to welcome new volunteers and work together to create educational programs that leave a lasting impression.
If you enjoy being outdoors, love nature, and want to help others learn about the outdoors, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Don’t miss out on the chance to be a part of something special. Sign up today and get ready to make a difference at the Garden!
