Little Nature Explorers in the Garden-Owls
November 19, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Little Nature Explorers is a weekly program on Tuesdays from 10am -11:15am. Every session has a new topic and includes story time, art, and nature discovery!
This week’s topic is: Owls
Did you know the Great Horned Owl is the only animal who is not effected by the spray of a skunk? The Great Horned Owl is a very large bird with strong claws and a great sense of hearing. This owl can locate a mouse 70 feet away and swoop down to catch it. They even have 2 stomachs for digesting different foods. Come hear all about these amazing owls!
This special program is geared towards ages 3-5 and will take place in the Garden on Tuesdays starting September 24th and ending on November 19th at 10 am (weather permitting). Walk-ins are welcome at this free program, but we invite you to register by emailing programs@
