Join us for a unique outdoor experience that brings the trees of Piedmont Garden to life. Guided by our knowledgeable Tree Identification experts, Donna and Tom, this walk offers an engaging way to connect with nature. As you stroll beneath the canopy, you’ll learn how to identify a wide variety of native and non-native trees. Each species tells a story, and our guides will help you uncover the hidden details that make every tree special.

During the tour, you’ll gain insight into the challenges trees face in our changing environment. Donna and Tom will explain how trees support the broader ecosystem—providing food, shelter, and oxygen for countless forms of life. You’ll explore how they interact with understory plants, fungi, insects, and local wildlife. These natural connections are critical, and understanding them deepens your appreciation for the living landscape.

This is more than a nature walk—it’s an opportunity to see the Garden through a new lens. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned plant enthusiast, you’ll walk away with fresh knowledge and a deeper bond with the trees around you.

This guided experience is part of Piedmont Garden’s commitment to environmental education and community connection. Every tree has a role, and every visitor leaves with a story. Come grow with us.
