The Botanical Garden of the Piedmont has been awarded a $1 million grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation through the Chesapeake Bay Small Watershed Grants program.

The grant supports the Garden’s comprehensive stormwater capture and reuse system – a foundational element of future construction that will protect a restored stream corridor, improve water quality, and demonstrate sustainable design in action.

This award affirms the Garden’s role as both a community destination and a regional conservation leader.

“A practical and forward-thinking investment in both conservation and education.”
